When it comes to delivering products, speed, safety, and ease of unboxing are crucial factors to consider. Conventional boxes are sealed using plastic packing tape. It not only slows fulfillment lines but also requires customers to use scissors or knives to open the packages they receive. We provide top-quality cardboard tear strip packaging. We use cardboard tear strips to address this issue by putting the sealing mechanism and opening action in the box's structure.

The method employs the usage of filament tape or a perforated pull tab that is placed into a corrugated cardboard. While putting the box together, the workers need only remove the protective layer of adhesive from the ready-to-use tape and fix the flap by pressing it down. And upon receiving their package, the recipient just has to pull the outer pull tab and tear through the cardboard.

Technical Specifications and Core Features

The cardboard tear strip packaging we offer are designed specifically for high-volume shipping centers and difficult shipping conditions. The product combines strength with ease of mechanical handling.

Our cardboard tear strip boxes come with high-density E-flute paper (thickness is 1.6 mm) for light parcels and cosmetics, or B-flute paper (thickness is 3.2 mm) for heavier electronics and retail items.

Our tear-strip cardboard packaging comes with strong kraft liners that weigh from 125 gsm to 200 gsm, protecting items from damage and breaking while sorting. We make these strip boxes from high-strength hot-melt tear tape with synthetic thread fibers. Thus, when used, it will cut the outer layer but not damage the box.

Double-glue option:

It has two lines of pressure-sensitive glue. The first strip will close the package while the second one will remain closed in case the customer needs to send back the parcel.

Tamper-proof feature:

Once the strip is pulled, the fiber will be "broken";  thus, there will be a clear visible mark that the package has been damaged in transit.

Custom Printing and Brand Customisation

High-quality printing makes standard tear strip packaging into an invaluable marketing tool. We use advanced technologies, such as water-based flexographic printing and digital printing, to easily print logos and branding onto kraft paper. An endless variety of options is available when decorating the outside and inside of the strip, from logos and icons to touching messages printed on the inside.

Since printing inks include only soy-based and non-toxic inks, they do not cause any disturbance in recycling. Due to the design of the cardboard strip that makes the cut without ripping the sides, you can be sure the printing is still neatly displayed even when the packaging is opened.

Versatile Styles of Tear Strips On Cardboard for Every Product

Different types of products call for different protective designs. Therefore, we offer custom cardboard tear strip packaging to suit the needs of your specific catalogue.

Tear Strip Mailer Boxes

Perfect for subscription boxes, clothing brands, and cosmetics. We offer a mailer box with tear strip that can be flat-folded with side-locking flaps, folding inward, thus creating double-wall side protection while maintaining the fast peel and seal closure on top.

Heavy-Duty Box with Tear Strip

Made for electronics, books, and heavier products sold in stores. The tear strips on cardboard boxes have reinforced B-flute walls that can absorb shocks while still making the top easy to open.

Tear Strip Envelopes

This tear strip envelopes is perfect for documents, lead, flat clothing, and small accessories. These are lightweight mailers made of thick kraft paperboard that come in a pull-tab type of design for easy opening.

100% Recyclable and Sustainable Materials

Minimising plastic waste is critical in today's supply chains. By opting for tear strips on a cardboard box, all usage of plastic tape can be avoided.

We manufacture cardboard tear strip packaging boxes with 100% recycled kraft paper fibers obtained from managed forests. Our adhesive is a hot-melt water-soluble product.

When the user pulls off the strip, the lightweight tape comes off, thus allowing the whole box to be recycled in a regular curbside recycling bin without any requirements for sorting.
